Published

on

The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig.-Gen. Yusha’u Ahmed, recently visited the Kaduna State NYSC orientation camp and addressed the 2024 batch ‘B’ stream ‘II’ corps members. Ahmed highlighted the significance of participating in all camp activities, stating that they are designed to make corps members rugged and prepared for future challenges.

He emphasized that the regimented camp activities aim to instill discipline and prepare corps members for leadership roles. Ahmed encouraged corps members to actively participate in all activities within their capacity, noting that it would benefit them in the long run.

Additionally, Ahmed spoke about the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Department (SAED) program, which he said has produced billionaires and offers interest-free loans to corps members. He urged corps members to take advantage of the program for their financial independence.

Ahmed also addressed safety concerns, cautioning corps members against hiding medical challenges and emphasizing the importance of securing themselves. He advised against night travel and accepting lifts from strangers, instead recommending the use of designated motor parks.
