Iwegbue Goes Tough On Illegal Occupation Of DELSU Students’ Property
The Dean of Students’ Affairs at Delta State University, Abraka, Prof. Maxwell Iwegbue has ordered the immediate removal of the structure on the property of the Social Science Student’s Association, SOSSA.
The Chemistry Professor, who was in the company of the University’s Chief Security Officer and students’ union leaders, gave the order when he visited the Faculty to inspect the structure which was illegally possessed by a businesswoman simply identified as Mrs. God’slove.
The Dean reaffirmed that the school management did not allocate the seat-out built by the students association of the Faculty of the Social Sciences to any private individual, noting that the institution exists for the sake of students.
Prof. Iwegbue also rebuffed the claim by the businesswoman that the management gave her permission to occupy the property, stating clearly that the school will never take or give out the property of any association within the institution without due process.

The President of the Association, Comr. Victor Chukwuedo, the Senator representing the Faculty of the Social Sciences at the SUG Level, Comr. Ebuka Onyeuba, and other Faculty Executives had reported the allaged illegal occupation of the students’ seat-out to the university management via series of petitions.
In an interview, Onyeuba told DELSU Echo that it would be wrong of him to have taken no action while someone was illegally occupying the property of SOSSA.
The student-lawmaker also reiterated his commitment to work tirelessly with necessary stakeholders to ensure that the interest of the Faculty was duly represented in the Senate chamber as promised in his campaign.
