A 300-level student of Health and Safety Education, Comr. Marvellous Uwadione, has been elected as the Senator representing the Faculty of Education in the 31st Assembly of the Students’ Union Government at Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka.

In a chat with DELSU Echo, Uwadion, who was a former Senate President of the National Association of Delta State Students (NADESTU), expressed gratitude to his supporters for their “organic support, love, and encouragement.”

Recall that SUG elections were held on Tuesday, June 11, at the Abraka campus of DELSU.

The election, described as free and fair, saw Uwadione emerge as the winner, garnering the support of his peers.

The student leader acknowledged the trust placed in him, promising to deliver quality representation and ensure that the dividends of his representation are visible.

He commended his opponent’s passion and hard work during the contest, noting that while only one person could emerge victorious, he looked forward to working with him to achieve greatness for the Faculty of Education.

Uwadione promised to offer strategic focus on quality representation with the aim of rejuvenating the student community and amplifying their voices.
