Gombe Govt Donates Food Items To NYSC

On Monday, the Gombe State Government made a significant contribution to Batch B Stream II corps members currently participating in a three-week orientation course at the Amada camp in Akko Local Government Area.

This information was conveyed through a press release issued by Joshua Danmalam, the Information Officer for the Secretary to the Government of the State.

Governor Yahaya Inuwa was represented at the event by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Adamu Inuwa.

Special invitation

Inuwa stated, “This donation aims to enhance the nourishment of corps members at the camp and mitigate the impact of rising food costs.”

He also extended his best wishes to the corps members, highlighting Gombe’s reputation for hospitality.

Upon receiving the donation at the temporary orientation camp, Chinwe Nwachuku, the State Coordinator for the NYSC in Gombe, expressed her gratitude to the governor.

Nwachuku indicated that she would convey the governor’s support and dedication to the NYSC’s Director-General and senior management.

Meanwhile, the National Orientation Agency (NOA) and UNICEF have jointly emphasized the importance of birth registration for children aged 0-5 years, warning parents that failure to do so may deny their children citizenship rights.

At an event held at the NOA headquarters in Osogbo, Osun State, NOA State Director Bola Morgan stressed that birth registration is a fundamental right that should not be denied to any child.
